We have spent a lot of time researching and debating how we should wrap up your gorgeous junglesuit pieces for you, and have two packaging principles:
-
Use the least amount of packaging that ensures the safe arrival of your goods.
On the outside, this means using a strong plastic mailer to guard against water and scratches. On the inside, we add a sheet of tissue paper for cushioning and a small sticker to keep the tissue paper in place. No organic cotton tote bag? That’s right! You’d have to use it 10,000 times to make it worth the environmental cost of production. -
Choose the most environmentally friendly option.
We found a great partner, noissue, who has helped us create lower impact packaging that is fabulous. Specifically:
- Plastic Mailer - We chose a 100% recycled plastic mailer that our customers can recycle or reuse once more. (We urge all of you to use ours again, please!) Why recycled and not compostable? Compostable mailers are great, but aren’t currently practical for our customers living in high-rises or cities without municipal composting services.
- Tissue Paper - We had so much fun putting together the cacophony of urban and jungle sketches that spill across our tissue paper! Even better, it is printed with soy-based inks, on FSC-certified paper, and is acid, sulphur, and lignin-free. Our tissue paper is also 100% compostable, recyclable, and made from recycled materials.
- Sticker - Our stickers are printed with soy-based inks on FSC-certified acid-free paper.
